Poverty and violent conflict are self-reinforcing problems that undermine development in northern Kenya.
Our conflict prevention and response programme utilize a neighbourhood network of women in northern Kenya to act as a platform for conflict prevention and early warning systems, and promote peace-building through community outreach forums.
The network also provides safe spaces for women to gather and seek refuge during conflicts as well as facilitates community counseling and trauma healing.
